Keeping & finding things

What does the free allowance include?

You can keep 50 photos, videos, and files combined. A Live Photo counts as one item. Media in Recently Deleted still counts; notes, folders, thumbnails, and wallpapers do not.

Open Settings → Storage in Covelet to see your counts. Pro removes this item limit. Your iPhone's available storage and individual file limits still apply.

Does Covelet back up or sync my content?

Covelet has no app-level cloud backup or sync. Your iPhone's system backup may include encrypted Covelet content and credential-protected key material, depending on your settings. Covelet cannot check that the backup is complete or usable.

Before replacing your phone or uninstalling the app, export important items and check your system backup. Restoring a space needs a complete backup and the unlock method used when it was made. Restore purchases does not restore your content.

What if I forget my PIN, password, or pattern?

On the unlock screen, tap the “Forgot” option. If Face ID was already enabled for this space and is still valid, a fresh Face ID check can let you set a new unlock method. Your iPhone passcode cannot replace this check.

If neither your credential nor the existing Face ID channel works, we cannot recover or decrypt your space. Erasing and starting over permanently removes the local space. It does not erase prior exports or system backups, and it does not cancel Pro.

Can I recover something I deleted?

Photos, videos, and Live Photos go to Recently Deleted for up to 30 days. You can restore them during that period or permanently delete them to free an item slot. Files and notes do not use Recently Deleted.

Permanent deletion cannot be undone in Covelet. Items that reach the end of the recovery period are removed when the app can process them; the app does not guarantee erasure at an exact moment while it is closed.

Does importing remove my originals?

Importing creates a copy inside Covelet. The app only offers to remove originals in Apple Photos after the imported copies have been saved and verified, and you choose whether to continue. The Ask to remove originals preference is in Covelet Settings.

If you confirm, Apple's photo-library permissions and deletion behavior apply, including any iCloud Photos sync you use. Files imported through the file picker are left at their original location.

Why did an import or preview fail?

Check free space on your iPhone, the item count in Covelet, and whether the original has finished downloading in Photos or Files. Choose individual files; importing an entire folder is not supported. The current limit is 1 GB per file or media component, including each part of a Live Photo.

Some file types can be stored even when an in-app preview is unavailable; you can still export the original. Large videos need time to be prepared before playback. If a save fails, keep the original and use the retry or error guidance shown in the app.

How can I take my content out?

Open an item or select multiple items, then use its export or share action. Photos can also be saved back to Apple Photos when you grant add permission. Choose files themselves for export; a whole folder cannot be exported as one item.

Export is available without Pro, including after an annual subscription ends. Shared copies are handled by the destination you select and are outside Covelet's protection.

Purchases & subscriptions

What's the difference between Annual and Lifetime?

Both unlock unlimited local photos, videos, and files. Annual renews every year; Lifetime is a one-time purchase with no scheduled subscription expiry. Neither includes cloud storage. There is no subscription free trial.

The US reference prices are $19.99 per year and $49.99 once. The localized price shown by Apple before you confirm is the price for your purchase. See the full purchase terms.

How do I restore Pro?
  1. Make sure the App Store is signed in to the Apple Account you used to buy Pro.
  2. Connect to the internet and open Covelet.
  3. Choose Restore purchases in Covelet Settings or on the Pro page.

Restoring verifies your eligible purchase; it does not start a new subscription. An expired annual purchase stays expired. If no purchase is found, check the Apple Account on your original receipt and contact us if you still need help. Your local library and unlock method are not restored by this action.

How do I cancel an annual subscription?

Open iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Covelet and choose Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid renewal processing. Removing Covelet from your phone does not cancel it.

If you only see an expiration date and no cancellation button, Apple may already have recorded the cancellation. Follow Apple's cancellation instructions to check. If you buy Lifetime after Annual, cancel Annual separately to prevent another renewal.

What happens to my items when Pro ends?

Your existing content is not deleted because Pro ends. You can still unlock, view, organize, export, delete, and recover eligible items from Recently Deleted.

When your combined photo, video, and file count is at or above 50, adding more requires Pro or reducing the count below 50. Notes are not part of this limit.

Can I request a refund?

Apple handles App Store refunds. Sign in to Apple's Report a Problem with the purchasing Apple Account, choose the refund option, and select the transaction.

Eligibility varies by purchase and region, and Apple decides the request. See Apple's refund guide. For a charge still pending, wait until Apple issues the receipt.

Why are plans unavailable or a purchase pending?

Plans and purchase access depend on the App Store, RevenueCat, your connection, and availability in your region. If plans cannot load, check your connection and use Retry. Check Screen Time purchase restrictions if Apple does not allow the transaction.

A pending purchase may be waiting for Apple's payment or family approval. Pro activates after the purchase is confirmed. Check Apple's purchase status before trying again, and email us if the state remains unclear.

Share an idea or get help

How do I send a wish?

Open Wish Well on Covelet's home screen, write your idea, and choose Make a wish. The form accepts up to 500 characters and an optional email address if you would like a reply. An internet connection is needed; you do not need to create an account.

After the service saves your wish, the app shows a thank-you page. If submission fails, follow the error message and try again. Wish Well does not attach anything from your Covelet library.

Who receives my wish?

Your wish goes to the developer. Cloudflare stores the submission, and a notification is sent to our Google-hosted support inbox. The notification may arrive later if email delivery needs to retry. Wishes are not displayed in a public list.

Leaving an email address lets us reply about the suggestion; it does not subscribe you to a mailing list or trigger an automatic confirmation email. We read suggestions, but cannot promise a reply or an implementation date. Read the Privacy Policy for the information sent and how it is handled.

Can I change or delete a submitted wish?

Email support.coolmio@gmail.com with enough detail to identify the submission, such as the approximate date and wish text. If you supplied an email address, contact us from that address where possible.

The app does not include submission history or editing. Clearing your local Covelet space or uninstalling the app does not delete a wish already received by the service.

How do I report a problem?

Use Feedback in Covelet Settings or Contact support in Wish Well to prepare an email to support.coolmio@gmail.com. You can review the message before sending. If your device cannot send mail from the app, use your usual email service.

Describe what happened and the app version. Please do not include your unlock credential, payment-card details, or private library contents. For an App Store purchase issue, see the purchase guidance above.

The details are here, too.

Read how your information is handled and the terms that apply to Covelet.
